2001 Memorial Picnic
On August 5th, 2001 friends and relatives
of Larry
Downey gathered at Highland Park in Endwell, NY to celebrate
his memory and 91st birthday. Larry, a well known fiddle player and teacher,
passed away in May of 2001 at the age of 90. The musicians in the following
pictures, all of who were touched by Larry in some manner, played some
of the best music ever heard. It would be interesting to add up the years
of experience that sat under that pavilion and played for hours. Enjoy
the pictures and if you were there I know you enjoyed the music. If you
