The simple, but desirable little brown glazed penny ink bottles are found in tips dating from the 1870s through to c1910.
They are extremely abundant with most digs giving up between 15 to 30 of them.
Gold crucibles are vessels in which the precious metal is fused. There abundance depends on proximity to smelters.
They are very numerous in Adelaide tips, possible due to the minting of 1 and 5 pound gold bullion coins. |
