A few pieces of
Rubbish tip found
historic china.
C. Stanton & D. Tuckwell collections.
A selection of broken statues, dolls heads, body dolls, pudding dolls, on a century old blue and white plate.

All these items would rarely find their way home from a dig.

They take up little space, and it allows visitors and friends to examine these broken objects, and leave the complete specimens safely displayed where they are.

It's all part of the educational side of the hobby and people are happy that they can actually touch.
In laymen's terms because dolls are not my specialty, (from left) two statues 'the small one is not damaged'. a delightful portion of a hand painted bisque dolls head, this would have had shoulders, and attached rag body, china arms and legs were also sewn on to complet the doll; The hair portion of a china head, would have had arms and legs attached to a rag body (this is one of largest I have seen;) bisque doll showing the shoulders, (quite often French or German) this one is a turn of the century (1900) Japanese head; two body dolls, their arms were attached by wire passed through the doll; and a full china doll, which was often referred to as a pudding doll, they come in a range of sizes and were placed in christmas plum puddings as a surprise treat for children.

If any of the information is found to be incorrect please correct me.
