The Belalie hotel as originally called: was located at 36 Ayr Street, Jamestown, and was built and licensed sometime around 1873.

By 1879 it's name was changed to the Globe Hotel, and traded by this name until 1958. After which the name went back to the Belalie and has traded under this name ever since.
