| Two very large Victorian era rubbish tips were being dug illegally at by torchlight (by persons unknown), the sites were located north and south of Adelaide's large West Terrace Cemetery. The tips were in use from c1850 until 1915 and were in tandem. Whilst one compacted and decayed the other was used. (The older and larger tip remains for the most part untouched) Sept 1981 |
