Who we are:

We are the residents of the Old Farms Road neighborhood in Cheshire, Connecticut. We have formed this association to help fight for our rights as home owners.

Our Purpose:

To oppose Connecticut Light & Power's plan to run a new 345 Kilovolt Transmission Line from Middletown to Norwalk atop new Electric Transmission Towers.

Our Goal:

Ideally, to stop the project for the good our our neighbors and all those who would be effected by it. As a minimum, we hope to convince CL&P that burying the transmission line would be the 'proper and right' method for doing this project.

Why we are Opposed to CL&P:

As parents and home owners, we are concerned about the adverse impact that this proposed transmission line will have on our health, the health of our children, and the character of our neighborhood and town.  These include but are not limited to:

You can help us in our fight, here's how....

  1. Rally support for those citizens opposed to Phase I of CL&P's plan. A Transmission line from Bethel to Norwalk. For more info go to the Communities For Responsible Energy or Woodlands Coalition websites

  2. Contact you state or local representative and voice your opposition to CL&P's plans

  3. Voice your opposition to CL&P's plans to the CT Siting Council:  (http://www.state.ct.us/csc or call the CT Siting Council at 860/827-2935).

  4. Contact one of our representatives via e-mail to Lisa or Rose
