2000 : German Online is one year old
today |

German Online
started life exactly a year ago today,
but under a different name, UKLanguages.
In the early days it was a basic
collection of grammar revision notes for
students, known as ' Links ' . The
name German Online was first used
in October of 1999, and over the
past twelve months the site has gone
through three major changes, ending up
with the current graphical interface. To
celebrate German Online's first birthday,
here are some interesting facts about the
site and its users. |

The number
of users increases every day. At the time
of writing, there have been over 7,200
visitors to the site since it was first
online ! A massive achievement for
us ! |

from all over the world hold links to the
site . They come from Australia, Belgium,
Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic,
England, France, Germany, Hong Kong,
India, Ireland, Israel, Jamaica, Japan,

Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia,
Scotland, Spain, Sweden, USA, and
Wales and many more. All of them
