A beloved sight for the Harley aficionados, the FXSTSB Bad Boy is basically a
modified FXSTS Springer Softail. Flatter racing bars replace the STS buckhorns,
a slotted rear wheel takes over for the standard spokes, and the bike is given a
blacked treatment that makes it look a little meaner. It still sports the standard 80
cubic inch Evo V-Twin and Softail frame of the parent bike, but with a different
style. Inexplicably (unless you think HD was trying to make it a collectible), Harley
only produced the Bad Boy for three model years...1995, '96, and '97. The Bad
Boy was available in three trim colors: blue, red, and yellow. I chose yellow
because, to my knowledge, it was the least common of the three.

True Hogmen (and women) will notice that I didn't follow the Bad Boy formula
exactly. The front fork, dash panel, and oil tank in this model remain chrome,
whereas the FXSTSB would have black forks and tank. I just happen to be a
chrome fan. Also, the paint is Testor's Black Pearl rather than deep gloss black as
the original would have been. Still, I think this is a nice take on the Bad Boy theme,
one that I might go for if I in fact won the lottery and managed to get my hands on
one of these cruiser's daydreams.
