| Trivia Steve's uncle, Chester Smith, recorded award winning CD of duets with Merle Haggard in 2000, called "California Blend" on Hag Records. Steve was 4th place winner in Skips Music Drum Contest of 1999, competing with Northern California's top drummers. An avid collector, Steve maintains a huge collection of vintage drums and enjoys restoring them. Steve also uses electronic drums and is experienced in drum machine programming.
