EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK

President Henry S. Truman dedicated this park by saying “Here is land, tranquil in its beauty…we owe the spectacular plant and animal life…that distinguishes this place from others.”  The only subtropical preserve in North America, the Everglades is the only place in the world where alligators and crocodile coexist.
