This costume was made also for LARP purposes (character name: Deirdre) - and it only got worn there ONCE. -_-; It was probably the most expensive costume I've ever made so far, as it is lined with real rabbit fur that had to be shipped priority to us. (ouch..) It's nice and warm, too bad there's no Renaissance Faires in the wintertime. ^^; I also made the necklace you can't see well in this photo, and the underdress, which is actually a dark olive green color. I will hopefully be getting some photos of ithe underdress in the coming weeks, I intend to wear it next weekend to a Faire! Another joint creation by mom and I.
(By the way, the background pattern on this webpage was inspired by the fabric on the Pelicon!) Oh yes, that's right I almost forgot. ^^; The Pelicon, or Pelice, was another Medieval concotion - Basically just a fur-lined tunic. |
