Scarlett - The Catsuit
This was another costume made for LARP - I was playing a Rakkarrin, which is a cat-person.  She was a Runecaster, which is one of the more useful characters in game.  This was the most extensive Rakkarrin costume to date, I was told. ^^;  I made it ala "Cats" - with the bodysuit and fuzzy tail, sans the head-hoodie.  Bodysuit is lycra (sadly, only 2-way stretch so it bagged 'round my knees), airbrushed with fabric paints.  That red color was actually called "Russet" and was supposed to be a rusty color and well... it's RED.  ><;  I liked it though, so we kept it and I played as Scarlett. ^_^  The halter and skirt are made of suede which is fabulous as there's no hemming necessary.  (And it smells really damn good..)  Cloak is polar fleece which was wonderfully warm.  Boots were made of leather (That was a project..).  Note that there are no sideseams on the legs of the bodysuit... >_<;;  Done intentionally, but we found out that the 2 way lycra was a problem as we couldn't make the legs thin enough to fit me without screwing up other things, hence.. baggy-kneed kitty. ;-;  Ah well.. it went over well, only wore it once to LARP and then to Jess' Halloween party, in 2004.  I made all the accessories, also. ^_^ Oh, I almost forgot.  This was another horrifically uncomfortable costume.. we didn't have a back zipper or anything, the closures were on the shoulders.  So I had to get in and out of it from the top and the closures we used hurt terribly. ;-;  Looked okay, though. ^^;
Chris cut off my head... ;-;
I still can't believe I wore this in public. -_-;
Fear my pointy hood!
I love this cape though.  It's warm, and the tassels are neat. ^_^
