| What to do with the Bureau of Indian Affairs? Congratulations to U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth to recognize that after 130 years of BIA control over the Indians (Native Americans), that the BIA is a failure. The Bureau of Indian Affairs has mis-managed millions maybe billions of dollars belonging to the Indians. Judge Lamberth is holdind BIA officials in Contempt of Court for failing to comply with the Judge's Orders. The BIA is trying to soft soap the issue again by re-naming the division that oversees the assets of Indians. |

| Bad judgment on part of federal officials to believe that one country can operate within the borders of another country. The United States government has failed to live up to the Treaties with the Indian Tribes from the beginning. | ||||||||||||
| How to improve a bad situation? | ||||||||||||
| First item, President Lincoln freed the slaves. President Bush should free the Indians from the control of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. After 130 years, BIA should have educated Indians to be full citizens thus the Bureau of Indian Affairs should be eliminated in ONE YEAR. | ||||||||||||
| Second item, void all Treaties with Indian Tribes. Totally eliminate Indian Tribal governments. The State governments to grant licenses for businesses such as Bingo. Tribal businesses to be incorporated in the State, issue stock to each member and pay State taxes. | ||||||||||||
| Third item, give any lands and mineral rights to the proper owners. Thereafter, the Indians would be under State law totally. All Indians to be citizens of the State, be under State law and pay State taxes. | ||||||||||||
| Fourth item, A One-time Settlement. Give every Indian on the rolls $100,000.00 cash. Place $500,000.00 into an individual private trust account for each Indian to be administered by a private Financial Investment Company. Requirements being: A guarantee minimum of 8% interest per year. A WILL be provided to every Indian. The Interest can be withdrawn, with a maximum of 5% principal withdrawn per year. No additional taxpayer money should go to future generations. | ||||||||||||
| Compare the savings to the taxpayers. Look at the BIA budget and the percentage of funds reaching the individual Indian. Look at the quality of life of the American Indian after years and years of being under the control of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. | ||||||||||||
| These are the corrective actions that are best for our country and best for the Indians (Native American Indians). Taxpayers of this country, I challenge you to contact Judge Lamberth, President Bush, Members of Congress, to make a stand to stop bigger government and spend our taxpayers money wisely. | ||||||||||||
| Our Founding Fathers believed that small government and less taxes means more freedom. Contact your elected Representatives and express your views. | ||||||||||||
