you sing
with chords intermittent�
rhythmic sharp shrill plucking of strings
by hind legs bent
as bow
and as chitin fiddle
stroking staccato notes high, low,
in the middle
of night�s
still chilled, heavy, inert
air. Play the ballad of your plight
amongst the dirt.
