OKLAHOMA CITY One Metro family was desperate to find the person they deemed a guardian angel.

It was Monday afternoon when a devastating head-on collision occurred NW 178th and Portland. Three adults and three children were involved in the accident where a 52-year-old woman died.

The three children involved in the crash were aged 8-months, 3- and 6-years-old. Both the adult women in the car with them were injured. Having no one to turn to, the family says a stranger used a simple coin to comfort 6-year-old girl.

A car crash is a terrifying scene for anyone. Now, imagine it through the eyes of a 6-year-old girl.

"This is the coin that was given to my niece. Just an every day coin. It's a dollar coin, you know," said Raina Johnson.

Just a simple, gold dollar coin. That now means the world to a family that's lost so much. It was given to a terrified 6-year-old girl by a man who helped pull her from the car.

"Right before she got in the ambulance, and she says the ambliance, Johnson said. Right before she got in, he goes You take this coin and you rub this coin and God's going to be with you. "

A simple gesture that made a big impression.

"Having someone there to comfort my niece and my nephew and the baby makes things, you know, makes a world of difference," Johnson said.

The only thing still bothering the Johnson family is the identity of who was this mystery man?

"People think it was an angel or what not, but we just want to thank him, Johnson said.

Johnson says her family has received so much support the last few days. But this shiny trinket stands out in their minds, and they hope to be able to thank their angel face-to-face.

"We're going to treasure it forever," Johnson said.

Late Thursday night, Oklahomas NewsChannel 4 was able to locate the mystery "guardian angel." He was very humble about what he did and says he hopes he did what anyone else in his position would have done. He also says there was a woman with him at the scene who also helped comfort the little girl.

The guardian angel says he plans to get in contact with the Johnson family.
