You reap what you sow, you get what you give, the Bible and many other people can't be wrong.Just go ask Priest Lauderdale.
My point is this: STITH IS NOT WORTHLESS.
This Nugget has put alot into this franchise these past 7 years, and why shouldn't we allow him to give more?
He's got game left, if you were paying attention when Dan Issel finally used his last option(when Mercer was finally shipped out of town) and ,*gasp*,played Stith he showed he "still got game" up until the point where he was injured and out for the season, and even then he did everything possible to get back before the season ended according to Coach Issel, but didn't make it in time.
Stith has come back from injuries before. Why can't he do it again?
Here's a brief description out of the Denver Post on Stith's work ethic:
Indeed, the Nuggets' first full training camp session at the Pepsi Center is only five days off, and Stith is more than ready. He worked harder on his conditioning this summer than at any time in his career, dropping nearly 10 pounds from his already-svelte playing weight of 210 pounds. No Nugget since the remarkably misnamed Fat Lever has had a lower percentage of body fat.
How will Stith find minutes? He'll find them somehow. Hasn't he the past few years? If the Nuggets land Derek Anderson, what about his history of injuries? Voshon Lenard hasn't been exactly the healthiest body in the N.B.A. either.Tariq? He played fewer minutes per game than Bryant did last year after Tariq landed with the Nuggets(26.9 to 24.9 of games played since Feb. 2.)
Is Stith overpaid? Probably, but why do we trade him for a second round pick who may not even make the team? How does this team become better by taking away a man who's given this much to a franchise and still "got game"?.
Why should we get rid of Stith? I may never know.
