Grand Canyon 2003 Day Before
They have to be nuts!
Pics are best at sunrise or sunset. The sun casts shadows which gives you much better perspective. With the noon-time sun, there are no shadows and all the hills just blend together.
Donkeys either go all the way down for over-night campers or out to the point shown below on the Tonto Plateau for just for the day.
All the layers of rock were sedimentary from ancient seas. The colorado plateau was uplifted and the Colorado River cut the canyon. Erosion widened it.
