Wind Cave, SD
While I was waiting on the herd to cross, (I was stuck) a rather huge buffalo was deciding whether to ram my car or not. That thought was due to my paranoia in the moment and the buffalo may just have been site seeing while chewing a few blades of grass.
Wind Cave is the worlds 4th largest cave in miles of known cave. So, this area has the 2nd (Jewel Cave) and the 4th largest cave ...all within a few miles of each other! At this time, there is no known connection even though they are only a couple of miles apart.
I actually did not know Wind Cave existed until I drove over a cattle guard next to the sign for Wind Cave National Park. After a very short time, I figured out why they had cattle guards! ...To hold the buffalo herds in. Another herd was further down the road.
