| The Ouachita Mountains were folded due to pressures on the rock layers from the north and south. This hill buckled up so the edges of the rock layers are pointing up. The Buckeye Trail goes past some of these rocks like the one where GCOC members are having a photo shoot. | |||||||||||||||||||
