Scoring Change Thoughts

Touchdowns for all posiitions will be the same. I would like the touchdown be worth only 6 points no matter how far it is.

Points for yards. I would like to see the following.....

Passing (any position)..... 1 point for every 50 yards. 2 points for every 50 over 300
Rushing (any position).....1 point for every 10 yards starting at 50 yards. 1 point for reaching the century mark after one hundred.
Receiving (any position).....1 point for every 10 yards starting at 50 yards. 1 point for reaching the century mark after one hundred.
Kicking.....1 point for extra point. Change the field goals to the following.....3 points initially with an extra point added for every ten yards past 20. (ie a 40 yard field goal is worth 5 points). For 50 plus yards, add one point for every 5 yards.

I like you scoring proposal with a couple revisions. Skip the Starting at 50 for the rushing and receiving yards. Combine rushing and receiving yardage, then apply 1 point per 10 yards.

Another idea we could kick around is a point per reception. That will make the receivers worth alot more, make the scoring higher and make guys like Derrick Mason worth having on your roster again. Dom Davis would be studly under this system.

Congrats to the Rednecks for tieing an OKFFL record with 9 in a row. Can they make it ten?

Anyone notice the Davis Conference has two women in the top spots?

Still no new thoughts on the scoring.

What about next year? Any thoughts on scoring, franchise players, anything new?

Still no clear cut Division winner yet. No team eliminated either. Wizards loose and they go home. Several 5-6 teams could see their post season on the couch. Only thing for sure is Pegasus and Tweety have their work cut out.

Thunderlizzards have no future. Onlything to do is knock off the competation. Gamblers, Musicians, and BAgOBones need win bad to stay alive. Rednecks win this week and they win the Division. Even if they loose to the Voodoo week 13, they would split the Division wins and Rednecks would win by points. Flash need one of next two weeks to go in the win column for the title.

I think this is the first year no teams has a clear advantage. Some started off strong but were quickly devored by their team mates. After this week, the play-off picture should come into focus.
