| R3.0 Player Positions | |||||||||
R3.1 Quarterback The quarterback position in the OKFFL represents the NFL team quarterback and their back-ups as well. This means that if a starting quarterback gets hurt, then the back up or in rare instances a wide receiver or running back may score. No matter who scores, all stats for a specific team quarterback are cumulative. This also includes a bonus for passing yards (see R4.0). In the case of a non-quarterback scoring, that player may actually score double points.

R3.1.1 An owner who has kept a specific team quarterback as a franchise player (see R12.0) has the option of keeping or dropping that quarterback if the main starter is traded to another team. If the owner decides to keep the quarterback, they may do so only if the quarterback becomes the starter for the new team and only if the team they went to is not a franchise player for another owner. The owner may also drop the player in question and pick another franchise player from their previous year's roster.

R3.2 Kickers The kicker position in the OKFFL represents the NFL team kicker. This means that no matter who kick's an extra point or field goal, the points are given to the team kicker. A non-kicker may kick an extra point or a field goal, which would give bonus points for that player. If an owner opts to keep a kicker as a franchise player (see R12.0) and that player is traded, the owner may keep the kicker as long as the kicker is considered the starting kicker and that no other franchise has that particular team kicker as a franchise player. If the owner decides to drop the kicker as a franchise player, they can pick another player from their previous year's roster to become a franchise player.

R3.3 Defense and Special Teams The positions of defense and special teams are considered as one for scoring purposes in the OKFFL. This means that an owner may have a particular NFL team's defense and this would also include the same for the special team's players of that NFL team. Individual players on defense and special teams who have more than one position may score for both positions (see R4.3).

R3.4 Team Roster Limits A franchise team in the OKFFL must include a minimum of two quarterback's, kickers, and defenses. The remaining eight slots on a team will be filled to the particular taste of the individual owner, keeping in mind the restriction's for starting line-ups (see R9.0).
