R1.0     Organization
R1.0 Organization

The OKFFL is currently made up of 32 teams. Each team belongs to a specific conference. The Conferences are the Union States of the OKFFL and the OKFFL Confederacy.

The Union States of the OKFFL consists of the U.S. Grant Division, the USS Monitor Division, the Gettysburg Division, and the Abraham Lincoln Division.

The OKFFL Confederacy consists of the Jefferson Davis Division, the CSS Merrimac Division, the Shiloh Division, and the Robert E. Lee Division.

The OKFFL Government consists of five individuals. The Commissioner, a President from each Conference, and a Treasurer from each Conference.
R1.1 The Commissioner

The job of the Commissioner of the OKFFL consists of many duties and responsibilities. The Commissioner is responsible for keeping the history on all current and past OKFFL Franchises. The commissioner keeps and distributes the current rosters for all teams, weekly scores, weekly line-ups, and any drops/trades/pick-ups that occur during the course of the season. The commissioner sees that each OKFFL Franchise owner has a copy of the rules, yearly schedule, and points of contact for the governing body and each owner (all this will be included in the OKFFL manual distributed at the draft). The Commissioner has one of three votes on any matters that may arise during the season. The Commissioner is responsible for paying the winner of the Franchise Bowl from money collected by the Conference Treasurer. The Commissioner collects and pockets all drop/trade fees that an owner might incur during the season. The Commissioner will be responsible for any rosters and starting line-ups on teams without owners.
R1.2 Conference President

Each Conference will elect a president that will represent them on any matters that may arise during the season. Each Conference President has one of the three votes that are required to make changes during the season. Each Conference President will be the point of contact for their respective Conferences. They will handle any complaints or questions that may arise and address them, or in certain cases, refer the question to the governing body. They may also call for a vote to decide on any matter that may affect the OKFFL. Each Conference President will be in charge of finding a suitable place for their Conferences to hold their drafts and will be in charge at this draft. Each Conference President will be determined by one of two methods: (1) The Franchise owners of the two teams that represent their Conference in the OKFFL Franchise Bowl for the previous year or (2) Elected by the team owners. In the first situation, if the Commissioner represents their Conference, then the duties of the president will fall on the Conference   runner-up. If elected, the president will remain in office until he or she either resign or is voted out of office. Each Conference will determine their respective president by the end of the current season. The president will also be responsible for making sure that all teams have an owner.
R1.3 Conference Treasurer

Each Conference will appoint an owner to handle the duties as Conference Treasurer. The Conference Treasurer will be responsible for collecting all fees at the draft. The Conference Treasurer will be responsible for all payouts at the end of the season. They will also give the Commissioner their Conferences half of the winnings of the franchise Bowl and also will pay the Commissioner for the current season at the draft.
