I attended Westwood High School and graduated in 1992. While I was there, I participated in several activities, such as:

Jobs: walking beans (summers), & grocery store cashier
As you can see there is not a lot to do in Iowa as a High School Student outside of school. At least not for me!
I then went to Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. (GO CLONES!) There I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology. I then went back and recieved my teaching Credetial in Life Sciences, General Sciences, & Chemistry.
So how did I get to California?
Well, first I was recruited for a teaching position. And then I drove!
No offense to anyone, but personally, the 2 worst states to drive through are Nebraska and Utah! Unless you like dirt rock and repetitive scenery, then these are the states for YOU!!
I have been at John Burroughs High School the last 4 years and currently teach Biology, Honors Biology, and AP Biology. I am hoping to teach a new Earth Science class next year.
