John Learns a Valuable Lesson at Rain-Shortened Event

John learned a valuable lesson as the team traveled up the USMTS event at the Murray County Raceway on May 28th.  John would draw the pole for his heat race, but would certainly have his work cut out for him in a field that included behind him, Willy Kraft, John Logue, Jason Hughes, Mark Noble, Jason Krohn, & Chris Prussman.  As they were coming out of turn 3 to the green flag Kraft & Logue took off leaving John waiting for the green flag.  By the time they reached turn 1 John was in 4th place behind Kraft, Logue, & Krohn.  John would battle throughout the race with Mark Noble for the 4th spot, trading that position a couple of times before conceding it.  The car ran well, buy we learned that the USMTS drivers aren't waiting around for the green flag to start the race.  John has been ready every time since.  Following our heat the races were halted for rain during a red flag when Tommy Myer rolled his car down the front stretch.  The races would eventually be called for rain and rescheduled for Friday, July 2nd.  We'll look forward to returning to the track as the car was good, and the track suited John's driving style.
