Very Tough Night at Deer Creek
The team pulled up to Deer Creek Speedway just south of Rochester, MN on Tuesday, June 15th. The long trip would provide disappointing results. John ran very well in his B feature, and we were optomistic going into the heats. John started deep in the field in his heat and would move up a couple of spots early, but then the car turned to junk and he'd come home as the last car running in the heat. A closer look at the car revealed that the rear slider had pulled apart. We fixed that before the B feature, and were hopeful that John would be able to get a transfer spot although it would be difficult from his 13th place starting position. The car was excellent early in the race, and he had advanced as high as 8th before cutting down a LR tire, and retiring from the race. We were quite disappointed to have missed the show in a very fast race car, but as the saying goes, "That's racin'".
