Hancock County USMTS Show Not Kind to O.K. One Stop Racing
John had a rough time at the USMTS's visit to Hancock County Speedway in Britt, Iowa on April 9th. John started from the pole in his heat race, and had high expectations as the car ran very well in hot laps. But at the drop of the green flag the car sputtered with fuel system problems and was in last place before making a full lap. John pulled off quickly as the car never got up to speed. John would have his work cut out for him in the B feature as he would start dead last in 9th, and need a top-5 to make the A Feature. The team had spent every minute between the heat and the B getting the car running, and never had a chance to adjust the setup on the car. The track which had been quite tacky in the heat went extremely dry, and John couldn't get any forward bite in the corners. He would end up 7th missing the feature by just two spots. The team will be ready for redemption when we return to USMTS action on May 27 at Park Jefferson Speedway. |
