On February 17th, 1861 Rev. James Henderson Curnutte (born in Anderson Co. Tenn. 9-27-1839 died 8-18-1910) married a full blood Cherokee Mary Eliza Gentry (5-15-1840 to 11-22-1910). Her parents were Thomas Robert Gentry and Clarisa. I am enclosing a picture of them taken in the early 1900's. (See Photo Album). I have never been able to find out if she was related to the Cherokee Chief named Gentry that was one of the 2 chiefs during the trail of tears when they were moved to Oklahoma in 1839.
