8/1/2005 - 4Kids Magical DoReMi Press Release

From the Official Press Release (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader):

New York, N.Y. - August 1, 2005 - Something Magical this way comes! On September 10, 2005, 4Kids Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: KDE) will launch the popular Japanese animated series Magical DoReMi™ on 4Kids TV™. In adding this charming new show to its hit programming, 4Kids is furthering its mission to expand its reach to a younger target audience as well as strengthen its focus on providing more action-adventure programs for the ever-expanding girls demographic.

The brainchild of Toei Animation (Dragonball, Digimon, and One Piece), Magical DoReMi has already worked its magic to become one of Japan’s most popular and longest running girls series with over 200 episodes airing over a four-year span. Now, the hit show is preparing to cast a spell on the U.S.! As enchanting as it is educational (LimePie comments: What the...? Now Doremi is edu-tainment?), Magical DoReMi follows the adventures of Dorie, Reanne and Mirabelle - three inquisitive young girls who transform into apprentice witches, or “Witchlings,” after stumbling into an old witch’s shop. Now, in order to become full fledged good witches, the three little charmed ones (LimePie: Again, “What the...?") - with the help of their magical fairies, wands, and musical melodies – must learn how to cast spells while unlocking the secrets to friendship, love and courage.

LimePie: There’s more, but the rest talks about other shows and 4Kids in general. Doremi will be airing at 8am on Saturday mornings.
