About Ojamajo Doremi Uncensored |
Ojamajo Doremi Uncensored was created when 4Kids licensed the shoujo anime Ojamajo Doremi. It was first planned in October 2003, when an internet article stated that 4Kids had acquired the series. For over a year after that, there was no confirmation on whether they had the licence or not. In November 2004, 4Kids publically announced the acquisition. Ojamajo Doremi began airing as “Magical DoReMi” on 4KidsTV during Fall 2005.
Why was this site created? I love Ojamajo Doremi; it’s my favorite anime. Needless to say, I wasn’t very pleased to hear that 4Kids had licensed the series. With 4Kids’ habit of editing and Americanizing anime, I wanted to make sure that people knew what the changes were compared to the original.

At the bottom of the each episode comparison is a “total remaining” percentage. This shows how close the dub version is to the original. Percentage points are taken off for places where the two are different.
Points are divided as:
• Music - 20%
• Footage - 40%
• Dialogue - 40%
