An exercise in solipsism
I am a lifelong New York City resident in my mid-20s. I am a college graduate with a BA in political science and I have a job related to that field.

I spend my free time writing nonfiction and fiction, although I have yet to submit anything except for a few songs that have been picked up by a couple of rock and punk bands.

I enjoy going out to eat with friends.

Books: mainly nonfiction - political commentary, social sciences. I do occassionally read fiction and poetry. The last nonfiction book I read was by
Irvine Welsh.

Movies: independent, foreign, B movies, horror, cult. A favorite film would be hard to choose: I like everything from
Velvet Goldmine to All About Eve, Times Square to Character. The most recent film I saw was Monster. I also (perhaps sadly) saw the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Music: my friends' bands, classic rock, punk, alternative, goth, new wave.

TV: Simpsons, Smallville, Angel, reruns of Seinfeld and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, occasional programs on PBS (The Great American Songbook) when I actually get to see cable at other people's houses - South Park, old Kids in the Hall episodes and VH1. Basically I like comedy and humorous animation. I wish NBC wouldn't have put on Carson Daly so I could have continued to watch SCTV.

Favorite Artists: Goya, Brueghel the Elder, Kiki Smith

Goal: To get a novel published or at least muster up the courage to submit a poem to
Poetry Magazine.

Other goals: Speak Spanish as well as I speak English, learn to make vegan baklava, learn to dance the
Charleston correctly
