CHAPTER 13: MOTIVATION AND EMOTION
Kevin found himself chewing louder and louder. Cheddar cheese Chex Mix on his right first fingers made him point and press with his pinkie.
He only stopped for things he hadn't seen before. No Price is Right. No Saturday Night Live reruns. He saw dogs running through loops and old men and women hula-hooping for once in their lives. Their short, short lives.
Kevin stood up on the floral-pattern couch his parents had mistakingly picked out at Hudson's. He saw a blank screen. Five bold, black letters and Kevin dropped the remote almost in slow motion, looking down upon his crumbs on his belly plate.
He ran to the kitchen to return his binge foods and then returned to the couch. He stood up on the floral-pattern couch. Shouting.
"I can't make myself!!"
Kevin knew. Oh, he knew. He kept reading and looking and flicking his eyelids. Stomping on that floral-pattern couch.
WASTE.
