At least he has a nice smile!

Once when I was a young Newsboys fan, I had a chance to meet Jeff and take a picture with him. Imagine my disappointment when I had the film developed and discovered that Jeff was closing his eyes.... But that was back before I knew that Jeff is always pulling the narcoleptic routine in fan photos. Now I've found a creative way to deal with my frustration. :) A big thank you to the people who have made this gallery a success by contributing their pictures! And if anyone else has a shot that belongs here, pleeeeeease send it to me!

Thanks to JC for sending me this picture. She writes, "I was at the Portland video shoot and I asked Jeff if I could have my pic taken with him, and he said 'sure!'...everyone around us was busy so he took my camera from me, held it out at arm's length and took the picture." Get that, folks? He was taking the picture himself and he still blinked!

Here's Jeff and Krissy in a picture that was featured on the Newsboys' official site. As dc remarked, "It shows a side of Jeff we rarely see..."

Rachel (newschicken1) emailed this great shot of her friend Christina with Jeff. One of these people has a nice direct gaze, and the other one couldn't look in a camera lens to save his life.

This shot comes from Andrea, who tells me "We actually have a picture without Jeff blinking, but only because I sternly told him 'Now DON'T BLINK!!!' That time he tried to trick us by saying he blinked, but the pictures showed otherwise!"

Ryan (PhotoForman) sent me this one of himself and some friends, with Jody and Jeff hiding in the background. Four out of five ain't bad...

This is a fairly recent one of Jeff with Anna. What's strange is that they appear to be looking at a different camera... but it doesn't matter how the picture's taken; Jeff will still be closing his eyes.

Phil knows how to keep his eyes open, but Jeff knows how to prevent redeye.
