"Sharing my heart"

I have been so blessed to be happily married to a wonderful man for the past 30 years. We met in Bible college and have been in the ministry our whole married life. We have two beautiful children. Angela, graduated college with a degree in church music. She's been married to her best friend, Glen for 4 years. Angela and Glen lost their first baby, a sweet little boy, when she was almost 20 weeks pregnant to premature labor. But God was gracious and gave them another little guy, Seth. He is a true pleasure. Matthew, graduated college with a degree in pastoral counseling and is married to Kellie. They have a our precious little granddaughter, Elianna and our dear little grandson, Keaton. They are all the joy of our lives!

I have been overweight all of my adult life and been on a multitude of diets. I started this E-mail list to give and get support from others who are struggling in the same area as I am.

I find so often that this excess weight robs us of so much - like our self-esteem, our self-confidence and even our rightful place in the kingdom of God as we question how God could love someone as unloveable as us. It's hard to imagine how anyone could love us when so often we don't love ourselves.

But God is able to reach way beyond our feelings of inadequacy and meet the needs we have deep within. I hope that with this E-mail list that friendships can develop and we can encourage one another all along the way. I look forward to getting to meet you and sharing this journey with you.
