Covered Wagon began one day during DFA practice when shawn huber was complaining about how much he hates the really high piercing mono-tone girl vocals in some noisy hardcore bands. with chris on drums shawn began impersonating with the intent of making fun of it, but shit, i liked it. they kept going in and out of really weird soft parts with the crazy high vocals played along with simple note progressions on his bass and heavy grindy parts with chris dealin out the blast beats and shawn screaming and pounding his strings. this is how covered wagon has worked ever since, basically. i'm pretty sure it started because I was replacing a string on my guitar and they just started doing it and i was just like, "damn, that was pretty cool." it's kind of become a semi-tradition now to hit up the covered wagon when I have to fix a string at |
