| Cynthia and Richard are the parents of Alicia. An officer for several years, last year she was the Field Commander of the Red Regiment. They have all sorts of experience with the group. The function of this committee is clear - to communicate with as many people as possible as much information as can be provided. As you know, the main source of communication from school to home is the student. However, the Jordans will be start the chain of phone calls (or emails if we have the parent's address) that need to be made about upcoming events. Each section of the Red Regiment will have a contact person that they will call. With proper support, this job is great for anyone that can't always be at a specific place at a specific time. The Red Regiment still needs your help. Separated by sections, The section leaders needed are: clairnets, color guard, flutes, low brass, percussion, saxophones, trumpets. If a section has more than 10 people, then two people need to share that section. It is the duty of these section leaders to ensure that their section has up to date timely and accurate information about the activities of the Red Regiment. Regardless of the emails from the Director or general information from the Boosters, these Section Leaders need to make the personal contact to know their section. More than just calling, they will become very aware of the students in their sections and can faciliate solutions to challenges in things like transportation, absences, etc. that arise. This really helps when the students know there is alwyas at least one person they can depend on to ensure that communication gets transferred. |
