The twelve constellations of the zodiac lie along the equator of the sky, which represents the supposed way of the sun from east to west around the vault of heaven during one year.
As earth circulates around the sun, it seems like the sun moves from one constellation to another each month, letting a new sign achieve the power.
Every sign belongs to one of the four elements. THere are also three conditions: Cardinal (which leads or starts up something,) Solid (steady, not easily influenced, reatiners,) and Variable (flexible, wants to be led, take impression easily.) Finally, ever sign is either extrovert (yang) or introvert (yin).
If you think your birth sign, (the basic sign,) does not match, it could be that other planets exerted their influence at the time of your birth, for example maybe the moon was in another sign at that time. One should always think about that while reading about the signs. Someone who is born in the end or beginning of a sign is also influenced by the nearby sign.
According to astrological believes, persons born in certain signs feel more solidarity with each other than with persons born in other signs. They share the same views or like the same things. Probably their signs belong to the same element.
The twelve signs in the zodiac represent three and three the four elements; Fire, Earth, Air and Water. The signs that belong to the same element have several traits or similarities in common.
Each of the four groups belong to particular quadrants or "houses" on a circle. It relates to circumstances as relationships, finances, travel etc.
Persons born in different signs, but in the same element, often find a spirit of community grounded on qualities characteristic for the element.
Aries, Leo and Sagittarius belong to the element of Fire. They are active, rich of initiative and affect and inspire others to create. They are zealous, helpful, idealistic, far-seeing and embodies courage, warmth, strength and self-assurance. The bad qualities among them are that they are often egoistic, self-centred and foolhardy. They can be hard and nonchalant.
The element of Earth consists of Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. They posses a deep emotinal understanding, are careful, plan a lot, are practical and resolute. They are very well aware of their own ability, have a well developed sense of time and a good taste. But those born in Earth Signs also try to control and manipulate others. THey colllect possessions for future needings and have a conservative point of view. Sometimes they are greedy.
Libra, Awuarius and Gemini are part of the element of Air. THey are inventive, intelligent, ingenious and alert, sociable persons who inspire and gladly co-operate with others. They are objective, humane and full of ideas. But the ones born in air signs are also overactive, nervous and talkative. Sometimes they have a lose tongue and are superficial. They are also reserved and cold.
The Water Signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. They are artistic, sensitive and expressive. They are romantic and feel compassion and understanding for others, whom they gladly try to help. The negative sides of the water signs are that they are living in a dreamworld, that they exaggerate their feelings, hold back their true intentions, are nervous, hysteric and easy to bully. They are pleasure-seeking, they try to control others and they demand constand stimulation.��������
