OHORA racing class rules are meant to be used as guidelines for what is legal for each class. These guidelines set maximum limits on what can be done. Should a racer decide to compete in a class with a lesser car, this shall be legal if the car does not break any of the rules set forth for the class it is going to be raced with. Classes are set up to allow anyone, even first timers, to race inexpensively and have a car that is competitive without spending a lot of money. 'STOCK' - these classes are basically 'As Originally Equipped' classes with the addition of slip on silicone front and/or rear tires. Some exceptions are made for the TOMY Stock class and are noted in the rules. 'SUPER STOCK'- These classes offer racers more choices for their rolling stock and gears, but the car retains, for the most part, it's stock magnets, armature, electrical, etc... 'MODIFIED'- This inline motor only class allows a racer more freedom in selecting what he/she will race. Most notable are the inclusion of polymer traction magnets and the use of 'Hot Stock' armatures. Check the rules for specifics of this class. |
