| He laughed heartily. As long as Ive known you, you never cease to amaze me, Morgan. I cant believe Id forgotten how much fun I have with you. Yeah, me too. She smiled as she straightened out her skirt, her cheeks, the same rosy color as her top, damp with sweat. We did have a lot of fun back in high school. You were the only reason I looked forward to finals and midterms. You know, for our study sessions. Morgan turned to smile at Apolo, the light in her eyes a sharp contrast against the black contrast of the sky. Heh, study sessions. I dont think we ever got too much studying done in the first place. Hey, Polo? Yeah? Do you remember that one time both of us failed Stevens pop quiz? Towards the end of junior year? HmmRemind me Apolo crinkled his forehead, straining to remember each of their detailed escapades. For the two years in which their friendship blossomed, there had been quite a few rendezvous within the hallways of Lake Placid High. Morgan slowly crawled closer to Apolo, emulating the sleek movements of a lioness in the scorching Sahara. Smiling, she lifted her body on top of his, straddling his lower abdomen so that her nicely tanned legs dangled on both sides of his midsection. Morgan brushed the tangled strands of hair off her forehead as she moved her mouth closer to the cradle in his flushed neck. It was during our free period at the pool where the water polo team used to practice. We had just bombed Stevens stupid quiz. This was maybe our third or fourth fuck session and for sure, we were loaded with confidence that day And we both got tardy slips for being late to our next class, he answered, his voice barely a whisper. Talk about a good day. Morgan bit down on her lower lip, desperately trying to contain the feelings swirling within her. See, I knew youd remember. You know, thats always been one of my favorite memories, especially on those long, lonely nights in my room Apolos chest heaved in waves as he felt the warmth of Morgans breathe on his face, sending chills up his spine. He closed his eyes and let his hands speak for him, wandering up Morgans thighs, headed farther north with each passing second up her skirt. Morgan arched her back in delight, pulling away from his face. He did indeed remember; there was no doubt about it, just by the navigation of his touch. The rough, callous edges of his fingers, the slickness of his hands against her skin, the musky aroma of his body drenched in sweat. God, give me the strength not to scream his name right here and now. But despite their undeniable attraction, Morgan knew that a relationship between the two would never work. They were both stubborn, passionate, and tenacious; those qualities intermingled surely would be a hellish mixture. And the one thing she feared most was losing Apolo . She had already lost Apolo once, and she sure as hell didnt want to lose him for good. The person who once said that distance makes the heart grow fonder had to be a complete fool. When Apolo had left Lake Placid, Morgan didnt love him more, but the flame that had once burned so brightly, flickered and eventually, burnt out, only leaving her with waxy leftovers. Until now, that is. But could Morgan put herself on the line again? Did she have the strength within her to give only her body, and yet again restrain her soul? She knew she didnt, not enough to do it all over again at least. It had to stop here. |
