01. Grenada 1983 - Saturday, November 26th

C-141B and Soldiers at Point Salines Air Port

It's Saturday morning and we've just gotten off the plane at Point Salines (say Suh-lean-es). Tommy Rowe is the one holding two weapons, one in each hand, one his and one mine. Behind the plane on the far right we can see the Airforce fork lift that has already begun to remove the huge pallets of supplies from the aircraft. The supplies are tied down with a net of nylon webbing, some yellow, some green.

As soon as we got off the plane guys were dropping their ruck sacks and pulling out cameras and sun tan lotion.
