Dr. Hugo and Dr. Julius Barmaper- Brothers, lawyers, born in Hungary. Dr. Hugo Spitzer- Lawyer.Son of the Neolog Rabbi of Osijek Dr. Samuel Spitzer. Chairperson of the Osijek Jewish Community. Member of the Zionst Congress since 1898. First chairperson of the Yugoslav Zionist Federation. Founder of the Union of Jewish Communities in Yugoslavia after the first world war. One of the founders of "Judea" the jewish students club at the Zagreb University and of Maccabi Zagreb. |
