Letter to Zev Birger
Dear Mr. Birger,
I just finished reading your memoir, No Time for Patience. I really enjoyed reading it. It was such a personal experience that you wrote about and I felt a glimpse of what really happened. The reason I started to read your memoir was because my expository writing class assignment was to read a memoir. However, after I began to read, I almost felt like I was a part of your story.
There was something I was wondering and if you do not mind, I have a question to ask you. While reading your memoir, I wondered what motivated or convinced you to writing this memoir. I understood that you told your story to your family; however, to publish it to the public is different. I know that it probably was not easy to relive your moments in the camps, so I wondered why you decided to share your personal experience with thousands of others. I thought that your story was very deep and it opened my eyes to the reality of it all. Just from your first chapter, I came to understand why someone would remain silent for so long. I never previously understood why.
Thank you for your time. Im sure that you were busy, so thank you for taking time out of your schedule to read this letter of mine. If possible, I hope to hear back from you. Thank you very much.
back!
