Welcome again to some new poems of mine. Actually they aren't new, but I found these on some old 5-1/4" diskettes and wanted to put them on here. Most below are dated from my 7th and 8th grades in school, so just a warning to you that they are probably not the greatest, but these are considered my first. Again, enjoy!

Fireworks
The crack of the firecrackers as they explode,
As they fling,
From a spring,
And then by themselves, they reload!

On the fourth of July,
A large rainbow at night,
Oh, am I a liar,
That is't raining fire?
Am I, oh am I, alright?

The sprinkle of gold,
It's green or it's mold,
Why doesn't anybody care,
There's bright confetti in the air?

And every night I'm hopin',
There's a paintbox bursting open,
Watching all of the animals flee,
While we're dropping colors in the trees.

POP! The rocket's been torn,
Looks like colored popcorn,
A sparkle of red,
It's now time for bed.

Feeling
Lonely is a feeling
Of being only one
Silent and solitary
In a world full of fun

Lonely is a feeling
When your heart feels lost
A time to look at life
And evaluate its cost

Lonely is a feeling
Of being all alone
A world without TV
A stereo, or a phone

Lonely is a feeling
Of privacy and such
A time to spend with hobbies
you cherish very much

Lonely is a feeling
I don't ever want to have
It makes me feel like crying
And being very sad

The Fact of Life
Through worlds of darkness
And many places of light
Many reality and many unreal
Men will wander, there and back
Upon their return, they will find:

Not what is looked for
Not what is hoped for
Not what is longed for
But truth, they will find

It hides un-looked for
It hides un-hoped for
It hides un-longed for
In the deepest depths of the mind

And it will only be found
When it is un-searched for
Then, and only until then
Will it be un-masked

By hopes and dreams, and
Longings and wantings, and
Askings and beggings
It may always be found

It cannot be created
It cannot be destroyed
It just IS, and we can do
Nothing to chang that fact
That ever-present, Fact Of Life!

Hoping For The Best
We've met with thoughts and words
But, in person, we have not
I've noticed in my past
That some loves do not last
Must it always be so?
No matter where I go?

I try, but it never works out
Yet I continue the attempts
I work so much, that
Time goes by so quick
There is never enough of it
To do the things I most want

To be with and care for
For someone special to me
To love and enjoy the companionship
Of someone special to me
To be that someone special
To somebody I really care about

Have I met that someone yet?
I cannot be the judge of fate
Only time will make us see
Whether or not, it is to be
I wish and hope for the best
But, inside, I expect the worst

Untitled
Tell me now, my beloved
Can I open the door for you?
Pay for the meal, may I?
Take you out for the day, or eve
Without explaining when, where or why?
Buy things for you un-asked for?
Without rhyme or reason for my actions
These things are what and who I am
Can you live with these? Or not?
