Ron Lyle   KO-3  Frank Slavin
Lyle controlled the first two rounds before landing a left hook 40 seconds into the third round.  Slavin failed to beat the count.  Lyle led 20-18, 20-18 and 19-19 at the time of the stoppage.

James Jeffries KO-9 Michael Spinks
Jeffries needed a knockout to win when he ended a flurry of blows with a crushing hook at 2:35 of the 9th round.  Referee Tony Perez counted Spinks out.  At the time of the stoppage, Spinks led on two judges scorecards, 78-75 and 80-73. Judge Ray Solis had Jeffries leading 77-76, while ringside observers had Spinks leading 79-75.  Spinks hurt Jeffries with a right cross in the 7th, but couldn't put the bigger man down.  The fight ended at 2:45 of the 9th.

Gunnar Barlund W-10  Roberto Davila
Barlund scored a unanimous decision over Davila.  Barlund started slow but wore Davila down in the middle rounds. Davila's rally in the 10th fell short.  Scoring was 96-95, 97-95, 97-94.

Joe Grim TKO-7 Brian London
Grim dominated London throughout the seven rounds, with a series of combinations and crosses causing referee Tony Perez to stop the one-sided contest. Grim led on all three scorecards (59-55, 59-55, 59-56) when the match was stopped at 2:48.
