| Passion's Point A Message from Paige Passion Miss Ohio Gay Pride 2007 Hello All, Hope everyone is doing well this month. I have been busy as I can be this month with so many different things. This month we had the Miss Columbus Gay Pride pageant held at Axis Nightclub, with 4 contestants, Rene Marshall, Madeline St James, Shawna Steele, and Michelle Stevens. all of the contestants did very well and when the night was over Tracie Lords, Miss Columbus Gay Pride 2006 had crowned Rene Marshall Miss Columbus Gay Pride 2007, and First alternate went to Madeline St James. Category winners for the evening were: Creative Evening Wear - Rene Marshall On Stage Question - Rene Marshall Talent - Shawna Steele Joe Stefanko did a wonderful job as promoter from registration until the end of the evening, giving the community of Columbus a wonderful and professional pageant. I wanted to take a moment to stress to our future contestants that the importance of ensuring your success in a pageant begins with you. Your commitment and dedication to the system and yourself will help you mentally and physically accomplish your goal. We are starting to head into the HEART of the pageant season within the Gay Pride system and so many things will be coming up. Just remember because a person may have stated they are going to do this prelim or that prelim shouldn't affect the decisions that you make. Have CONFIDENCE in yourself and don't let anyone stand in your way of accomplishing your goals!! As we move into the next few months of competition make sure you are doing your homework and putting the proper steps in place to succeed. Also remember to allow your individuality really shine through this is what makes you set apart from the rest. Don't forget to keep your creativity close at hand to also use in your favor. The ball is in your court, YOU CAN DO IT AND DO IT WELL!!! Homework and resources are the best things that you can use to improve and set yourself above the rest. If you haven't had the chance to read the previous newsletters they are placed at the top of each montly newsletter for your convience. They are here for you to read and used as "homework" and resources for you to use. The archived newsletter's really aren't "time senstive" articles they are here to help guide and assist you in your plans and preparations for this year's pageant season. Don't forget the next chance to join the Ohio Gay Pride Family is Miss Miami Valley Gay Pride this coming May 31, 2007 at Aquarius (the old Cell Block) in Dayton, Ohio. Come join us as Alana Reign steps down as Miss Miami Valley Gay Pride. Alana has chosen the theme of Oriental Pride!!
