CAST OF CHARACTERS: THE TMNT, Splinter, April O'Neil, Irma, Vernon Fenwick, Burne Thompson, Krang, Shredder, Rocksteady, Bebop
GUEST STARS: Turtle Terminator
LOCATIONS: Turtles' Lair, Irma's Apartment, Channel Six News, Technodrome, Abandoned Amusement Park
SYNOPSIS:
Rocksteady and Bebop, on Shredder's orders, kidnap Irma, who pleads with them to wait until tomorrow -- it seems that she has a date with a handsome weatherman from Channel Six News. As soon as April discovers Irma has been abducted, she contacts the Turtles.
At his secret hideout, the Shredder activates his "Turtle Terminator" to replicate itself to look just like Irma. He then sends the Irma/Turtle Terminator out on its mission -- to destroy all turtles.
Irma/Turtle Terminator returns to Channel Six News and professes that nothing has happened to her nor has she seen Rocksteady and Bebop. April reports to the Turtles that Irma is back and that everything is fine but the Turtles are doubtful. They continue to investigate.
However, when Irma/Turtle Terminator overhears Burne Thompson refer to his girlfriend as a "turtle dove" she fires a laser blast out of her eyes, melting the telephone. April realizes that something is wrong. It's observation skills like this that have made her a top notch reporter. ;)
While the Turtles are following Rocksteady and Bebop in hopes that they will lead them to Irma, April contacts the Turtles and warns them about the bogus Irma. She fears that every time someone says the word "turtle," the station and all the Channel Six News employees will be in jeopardy. The Turtles agree to help but not until they save the real Irma.
After rescuing Irma, the Turtles encounter the Irma/Turtle Terminator on the streets of The City and lure her/it back to an abandoned amusement park and into the "funhouse" where she/it encounters too many Turtles thanks to the hall of mirrors. This causes Irma/Turtle Terminator to overload and short circuit.
Donatello repairs it and sends it back to the Technodrome, via a Transport Module, where it has been reprogrammed to "zap" Krang, Shredder, Rocksteady and Bebop.
GROUP W #35
CAST OF CHARACTERS: Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, Splinter, April O'Neil, Shredder, Krang, Rocksteady, Bebop
GUEST STARS: Baxter Stockman, The Rat King
LOCATIONS: Turtles' Lair, Technodrome, Underground Water Tank/Reservoir
SYNOPSIS:
Noticing that the Technodrome's ballast tanks are low, Krang decides to take the Technodrome closer to the surface so that it can siphon off water from an underground reservoir.
Meanwhile, Donatello has built a device that will track the Technodrome's movements. No sooner is he done, then the Technodrome is on the move.
Observing the action of both the Turtles and Shredder and company is none other than Baxter Stockman/The Fly, who has recently returned to the current dimension and is desperate to enact his revenge on both Shredder and the Turtles.
The Turtles, along with April, arrive at the underground water tank before Shredder, and while they prepare for him, April is kidnapped by Baxter Stockman/The Fly.
After a minor skirmish with Shredder, Rocksteady and Bebop, the Turtles begin their rescue attempt of April, only to encounter the Rat King deep within the city's sewer system. He agrees to help them find April. The Turtles are not sure whether they can trust him or not, but have few other options.
Meanwhile, Baxter Stockman/The Fly encounters Shredder and, once again, is duped into believing that the Turtles are his real enemies -- not Shredder. He agrees to help Shredder destroy the Turtles in exchange for making him human again.
Elsewhere in the sewers, the Rat King makes good on his word and leads the Turtles to April. When they turn to thank him, he is gone. However, in his place is Shredder, Rocksteady, Bebop and Baxter Stockman/The Fly. Shredder orders Rocksteady and Bebop to "freeze dry" them but Baxter wants to gas them. The Turtles and April falls to ground unconscious as Baxter warns Shredder that they should leave before the gas takes affect on them.
No sooner have they departed, then Michaelangelo uses what little strength he has left to turn off the gas. Fully recovered, they all set out after Shredder and Baxter Stockman/The Fly
Back at the reservoir, Rocksteady and Bebop, unable to control their anger with each other, begin blasting their freeze guns at each other, causing the water in the tank to turn to ice, thus causing total malfunction. It seems that Rocksteady and Bebop have done the Turtles work for them. By the time the Turtles arrive, they merely have to escape exploding ice. Shredder and Krang have been foiled again. This time by their own men.
