I am including this page with 2 generations of Bradners because the DEAN family and BRADNER Family have several parallels:

Both were living in Orange Co., NY at or near Goshen in the mid to late 18th century
Both had a strong Presbyterian background
Both moved to Western NY, and settled for a time in or near Ontario County
Both moved to Wayne Co., MI together in the 1830's
And there were a couple of interfamily marriages along the way

[book 6, p. 266, John Bradner and Lydia his wife of Northmoreland > Samuel Roberts, recorded 27 Dec. 1796 recorded Aug. 3, 1799; 300 acres, land is bounded by Jacob Patrick, half mile south of pine tree with three blazes on the River Susquehannah, and bounded south on aforesaid Roberts. Witnessed by Thaddeus Taylor and Joel Braner {is this a Bradner?}]

1797-1800 moved from Luzerne [now Wyoming] Co., PA to Western NY

c.1797 may have had a son John Bradner Born in NY.
