Volney Rogers

Volney Rogers had been engaged in farming and dealing
in stock. He owned 130 acres of good land. He lived
his whole life in Randolph. He enlisted in 1861 in
Company I, One Hundred and Fourth Ohio Volunteer
Infantry, and was musterd out June 22, 1864. Volney,
who went to school to James A. Garfield, and boarded
with him one term, was also a teacher, and taught
fifteen terms.
