Definición:
Activity Network Diagram
The
activity network diagram is a simplified version of PERT (Program
evaluation and review technique). It is a method for mapping
out the sequence in which activities will be undertaken. One
of its benefits is that it indicates which items can be done
simultaneously. Another benefit is that it makes it clear what
set of activities will take the longest and where time efficiencis
can be achieved.
Bastante similar es el diagrama de Gantt que fue inventado antes del surgimiento de la TQM, pero es muy similar a las herramientas de TQM y se puede estudiar en conjunto con ellas. Ver las siguientes referencias, no confundiendo un árbol de un diagrama de árbol
