Last Year the young clippers ended the season as runner ups in the PG County tournament, Having eight first year wrestlers, Each one pulled their own weight and finished strong.
Oxon Hill finished the season with a 10-3 record and places second in the 2001-2002 PG County Tournament and walks away with the Sportsmanship Award for the first time.
This year, Captains Freddie Velez, Mike Topping, and Daniel Shilling along with Co-Captain Earl Lee, will try to lead the once again young Clippers to another Championship.
Congratulations to Oxon Hill for upsetting Northwestern 52-25. The young Clippers pulled together and wrestled well and proved to the county that they will be a force to reckoned with. The Clipper's will next host Eleanor Roosevelt and Surratsville on Saturday, January 11th, 2003 at 10am at Oxon Hill's back gym. The Clippers will need all the suppport they can get as they come together and fight for the County Championship. So please try to make the best effort to come. Hope to see you there!
