| Welcome to the Ohakuri Elititst Ski Club website. Here you will find water skiing photo's, drinking photo's, the latest news and general information about the club. The club was started back in 1998 by three keen waterskiers around a few beers at Lake Ohakuri, New Zealand. Their vision has been translated, into what has become a successful water ski club. The club strives to unite water skiiers, old and new, to add flavour to the sport, to share knowledge, and have a damn good time, both on and off the water. A major goal of the club is to eventually send an independent skiier to the world champs. Skiing hard is one of our core philiosophies. If others are saying its too cold or too early, the elitists are already out on the water carving it up. Ski hard or the boat won't pick you up!!! (We're not that mean to rookies!) The club is run by three co-presidents - Atwill, Brooks, and Marshall. Atwill and Brooks are currently attending university while Marshall is avoiding electric shocks at an automation business. | What's Your Favourite Lake? |
| We're out to find what lake you guys regard as New Zealand's premiere water ski lake. All we need you to do is type in the lake or other body of water that you regard as the best in New Zealand for water skiing. Of course, we'll be expecting one certain lake to come out on top, but you may have different ideas! We will post the results here as soon as they start rolling in. |
